Went up to Caboolture Staurday and chatted with Percy. The doctors told him “anytime now” so if you haven’t called him do so – Percy’s mobile is 0401 868 886.
UPDATE: Too late to call him now. Percy is in a coma and only has hours left. Will advise as more details come to hand

John Costello, 2nd tour, is in John Flynn not in a real good way. His wife Annette asked me to pass on to you that he took ill yesterday 16th and was taken to John Flynn with suspected heart problems.
John is apparently in an induced coma at the moment in a lot of strife. Will try to find out more tomorrow.
I received a phone call from Tony Keech with the bad news that Ron Allan is not travelling well and is undergoing treatment. Jim Husband tells me that Ron particularly wants D Coy 1st tour guys to be aware of his health issues so if you are D Coy and aware of someone without web access then please give them a call.
Ron’s home number is 02 4353 5534 and he is currently living at
Wyalong, Wyong, NSW. People are welcome to call.
I will post more info as it comes to hand

Got this good news from Jim Husband on Reg Bandy
Status report on Reg. He is OK and will be in Brisbane for the AATTV reunion, thence to Melbourne for the 7RAR do.
Doug’s situation remains essentially the same with limited visits, calls etc. Will advise of any changes.
From John Dwyer
Doug’s procedure went well today however he is totally knackered. He will be undergoing more of the same on Wednesday so the all contact embargo remains on visits and calls.
I will be in touch again mid-week.
Received this email tonight
On behalf of the Gibbons family
Many thanks to you all for the tremendous amount of calls and communications this past week. Doug’s situation is still as advised previously.
Could you now spread the word to all those relevant folk on your address lists, that as of 8.00PM tonight, no more visits, calls or text messages until further notice.
Doug will be undergoing major surgery tomorrow (Thursday) and will be incommunicado at least until the weekend.
I will advise you all by email of any changes to this embargo or change to his condition.
