Email received; Alan Lawler passed away today at 1400 hours. A gentle and kind person who has suffered the burden of his service in Vietnam for a great many years. His passing took place at the Eliza Purton Nursing Home,Ulverstone,Tasmania. Allan was a National Serviceman, Service number 6708783. He served with the 7th Battalion RAR

John Costello, 2nd tour, is in John Flynn not in a real good way. His wife Annette asked me to pass on to you that he took ill yesterday 16th and was taken to John Flynn with suspected heart problems. John is apparently in an induced coma at the moment in a lot of strife.
