Received this email from Ian Dunn in Victoria re Tom Bourke’s health
Comrades,
The last two times I visited Tom (Thursday night and tonight) he was very, very tired. He is still in Ward 7 West (Bed 12) at the Austin Hospital, and says that he is spending a fair amount of time each day in his wheelchair. But he seems very frustrated with the long stay in hospital, and with the lack of progress.
Tonight he was, for most of the short time I was there, too tired to speak. But then he does not seem to be able to sleep either.
Let’s keep hoping that he improves again, soon.

Just wondering how Tom Bourke is travelling?
I hope the Tom Bourke mentioned on your web site is the same Tom (amputee) I met in Yarrawonga in the early nineties
Tom and his wife ( I cannot remember her name) used to camp next to my parents in the local caravan park
I subsequently built a friendship with Tom for a couple of years until l stopped going to Yarrawonga
I know Tom’s wife passed away a long time ago
An update would be appreciated
