Please be advised that John Edward (Mungo) McCabe passed away at 0530 this morning. Any messages through this means please. Leanne does not want to be disturbed and left to grieve in her own way.
There will not be a funeral service, however a celebration of Mungo’s life will be held at the Gaythorne RSL at a date to be advised.
Mungo also served with C Coy 7RAR on our second tour in South Vietnamand was Secretary of the Qld 7RAR Asscn for a number of years.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I was shocked to hear of Johns passing, we were o the same bus to kapooka the ingleburn and through the tou in Charlie Coy. I remeber having to carry extra smoke for him otherwise he got shitty if he ran out. He was a great mate and looked after me at lot. Truly sorry to hear this news and, thoughts go out to leanne. Robbo
