NO one can remember its like in the garrison city of Townsville.

Since the start of the year, 1200 of the defence force’s finest have returned home from the front lines of Afghanistan and Iraq and from holding the line in East Timor, creating a buzz in the north Queensland military stronghold for everyone from counsellors to real estate agents and car dealers.
