Today we commemorate the death of our mate Barry Fallon who was Killed in Action on this day in 1967
Barry Fallon was born in Hawthorn, in the state of Victoria, Australia, on the 31st August 1936.
His service in Vietnam included:-
1 Australian Reinforcement Unit, from the 11th January 1967 to the 19th January 1967
6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, from the 20th January 1967 to the 28th May 1967
7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, from the 29th May 1967 to the 10th November 1967
… the fatal action in Vietnam …
Private Barry Fallon was killed when Viet Cong detonated a claymore mine in Phuoc Tuy on the 10th November 1967.
