7RAR Vets SA are holding a reunion in April 2022
G’day all As most of you would be aware the 50-year 2nd tour reunion was put on hold in 2020 due to the emergence of Covid19. Now that most are vaccinated, and borders are reopening we have decided to have the delayed reunion in April 2022.
The program is as follows: –
February 14 … pre-registration, for forward planning purposes and to keep pre-registered veterans updated.
March 21 … Confirm registration of attendance by email to email@example.com. (this will allow planning to be finalised).
April 21 (Thursday) AND April 22 (Friday) … registered attendees will be the guests of Lt Col Roland Spackman, RSM Johnny Craig and members of the Battalion on these two days between 1000hrs and 1500hrs.
Registration is essential to facilitate the Military Base security regulations etc and will ensure our large group moves smoothly and efficiently into the secure area of the Military Base.
NOTE: A two-day base visit is essential for our members to be given a proper and thorough presentation of the modern day 7RAR including its many forms of combat and support vehicles as well as the many sections of the Battalions training facilities.
April 23 (Saturday) … bus trip to the Barossa Valley, to sample the various wines available, lunch followed by more winery visits. (firm details to follow to pre-registered members) April 24 (Sunday) … A special tentative booking has been made at Benjamin’s on Franklin in the city to allow the national Committee of 7RAR Association to have a meeting if they so wish. Normally Benjamin’s is closed on Sundays however they will be fully staffed with the full meal’s menu and full bar service on the day. We hold our monthly lunch meetings there. For further information the link to their website is Benjamin on Franklin – Adelaide’s Best Kept Secret We will need to confirm this booking in March.
April 25 (Monday) … Anzac Day (firm details to follow) If this program has got you thinking, then please PRE-REGISTER before 14th February 2022 All who pre-register will be updated, as needed, during the months of February, and March of 2022. Those who don’t pre-register by 14th February 2022 will be removed from the reunion mailing list. If you have a wife/partner who will be attending please include their full name also.
If you have any questions etc about the above please email me and please include your best contact phone number.
Hope to see you at the Reunion and have a Bundy or three with you during the reunion Stay safe, keep vertical and above ground.
