It’s a sad time with the passing of a Soldier, a Friend, a Mate & a member of Ryde City & Districts sub-branch V.V.A.A. NSW Branch, Major John (Doc) Straskye OAM, Wednesday 15^th February 2012, ‘We Will Remember Them’ Lest We Forget.

UPDATE: Funeral details

The family of the late MAJ John Straskye invite all to attend his memorial service to be held on Friday 24th February 2012 at 2pm St Patricks Hill Church Grosvenor Street Sydney NSW 2000. Afterwards refreshments will be served at 3.30pm at The Royal Automobile Club of Australia (89 Macquarie Street Sydney NSW 2000). Parking may be limited but the opera house carpark is located at the bottom of Macquarie Street and is a short walk to The Royal Automobile Club.

Dress =Jacket & Tie with Medals for those that have them.
